Virgin Atlantic LAX Clubhouse
Los Angeles, CA
Designer: SLADE Architecture
Client: Virgin Atlantic
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at LAX Airport provided an opportunity for SITU Fabrication to collaborate once again with SLADE Architecture in the execution of a complex design project with an accelerated timeline. Having completed previous projects, including the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at JFK, SITU Fabrication was brought on board by SLADE when the contractor was unable to find a fabricator in Los Angeles to complete the job.

SITU fabricated the entire curvilinear Corian solid surface feature wall that begins at the entrance with the reception desk, then transforms into a series of bar tables, flowing seamlessly into the bar counter top. A copper sheet metal back splash compliments the solid surface material and culminates in the bar's feature wall.  SITU fabricated a 24' long solid bamboo table whose curves pay homage to California's surfing culture, as well as seven-custom-upholstered sofas distributed throughout the lounge. SITU Fabrication provided all of the 3D modeling and engineering of the various components that comprise the project.
